I've run this 5K twice before and had a lot of fun, so I was in again. This year the Pumphouse 8-Miler and 5K joined the Scenic 30K, which used to be a separate event on a different date. Due to my Graves' Disease symptoms, including elevated heart rate, I was unable to participate in person. Big shout-out to Sommer Sports for allowing easy transfer to a virtual event. The race took place on a miserable rainy day, February 18, 2024. Not sure when I'll be able to complete this 5K, but I sure wish it could be at Apopka.

Arthur and I were both registered to participate in this popular charity 5K through downtown Deland on February 3, 2024. Arthur attended the live event; I picked up my shirt and bib but wasn't cleared to participate. I'll complete this one as an unofficial virtual race.

Due to an unfortunate case of bursitis in my left knee, I opted to convert this race entry to the virtual option. Race day was March 25, 2023. I'm not sure when I'll get this one done.

This race raises money to help save Florida's Black Bears by subsidizing bear-resistant trash cans for Wekiva Basin residents. I couldn't attend in person due to travel, but wanted to support the cause. Race day was October 22, 2022. I'm not sure when I'll complete this one virtually.

This annual race series in Osprey, Florida, has been on my bucket list for a while. The races benefit the Friends of Oscar Scherer Park and the threatened Florida Scrub-Jay. Since the races had to go virtual I decided to sign up. I was a late registrant for the event which took place from January 2nd to January 10th, 2021 (I signed up on the 10th). I am hoping to complete this at our local Florida Scrub-Jay hotspot, Lyonia Preserve, but I don't have a date in mind just yet. And I still hope to participate in person some day.
